Kenny Blaq is Simply Talented

Nigerian entertainment industry has a lot of talented comedians and general entertainers but Kenny Blaq is different.

If one is asked to count talented comedians I’m Nigeria, Kenny Blaq would be mentioned among the first ten (10) talented Nigerian comedians or unique comedians.

Otolorin Kehinde Peter popularly known by his stage name Kenny Blaq took the Nigerian entertainment industry unaware in 2008 when he performed for the first time in AY live, which was and still the biggest comedy platform in Nigeria and Africa as a whole meanwhile, Kenny Blaq had gathered a good number of fans for himself from posting different videos of him singing his version of popular songs in a comic way.

There have never been a thing like ‘MusicComedy‘ in Nigerian comedy industry before Kenny Blaq came through with the ‘MusicComedy’ style of comedy.

Kenny Blaq aka the music humour merchant said in an Interview with us (OU Entertainments) that nothing will make him reconsider his style and brand as a music comedian. ‘Other comedians say their jokes but I sing my jokes and that is what makes me unique from other comedians; I’m like the artiste of comedy or a DJ that mix different songs to tell a joke.

Kenny Blaq’s Oxymoron of Kenny Blaq has massive attention in the comedy industry and features almost all the stars in the Nigerian entertainment industry. The latest is his just concluded project titled ‘In My Room’ a one-man show, shot in Lagos in the thick of the covid-19 pandemic. The hilarious project is licensed by Netflix to stream around the world.

Kenny Blaq has won several awards in his Career as a music comedian, some of the most prominent of his awards are; The Future Awards Africa Prize, Naija FM Comedy Awards, and the 2016 MEAMA where he won the Best Comedy Act in Nigeria.
