How did Flexy W get his stage name ?
On how Wisdom Onu Kanu came up with his name, he said, ‘The name Flexy W was given to me by my dance crew mates in the year 2008. Flexy Wizzy as they all called me was because I was the most flexible amongst them and my name being Wisdom, they called me the stylish name wizzy. But I shortened it to Flexy W in the year 2010 when I started music officially.’ in an interview with OU Entertainments.
When did Flexy W start music?
Flexy W started his singing career in 2008 as a beginner in the church like most musicians in Nigeria. He started singing as a backup singer to prominent singers and officially started recording his songs in 2010, and started getting attention in the music industry from 2016 after he performed at the Enyinmba stadium Aba, and stole the show.
Another interesting thing about Flexy W is how he makes covers of trending songs even more interesting than the original song. He has done several song covers that went viral.

FLEXY W has performed with so many big artists on some of the biggest stages in Nigerian entertainment especially in the Eastern part of Nigeria.
He made history at the Aba half marathon 2015/2016 in Enyinmba Stadium, repeated it at the ‘One mic show’ his impact was also felt at the Enyinmba carnival however, the most recent was at the luxury fest in 2018 where everyone thought he would be doing a collaboration with fireboy as they were the sensation of the event.
When asked about his relationship with Fireboy dml and if we should expect a collaboration soon. He laughed it off and said we should keep our fingers crossed. In his exact words ‘Chill, just keep your fingers crossed anything can happen, but fire is so busy now, I will let you know when Gbedu sets.’
